Born in Malaga, Spain, Calleja's works are full of tricks that bring surprise and humor to various events in everyday life. He grew up familiar with Japanese manga and animation, and has released a style that emphasizes the characters in his own works. The Mickey Mouse drawn by Calleja also has the "BIG EYE" that is a characteristic of his work, and his eyes shine with a lovely transparency.
